History
1937 – 2002 Who we are…Metalleido Components, formerly Metalleido Srl, began its current activities in June 2000.
Previously since 1937 Metalleido Srl core business had been the treatment of cotton fabrics with
phenolic resins. In 1991 Metalleido took part, together with other companies (Hexcel, Parabeam, Daimler Benz, Intermarine…) in a project (named Brite) aimed at the creation of an integral panel with a tridimensional glass fiber core.
1993 Monocore Line
At the end of 1993 Metalleido patented the machine for the production of the Mitlight panel (trade name: Monocore) and started mass-production.
In the early years Mitlight panel was the first panel to be produced according to IMO 653 regulations (a regulation regarding ferryboats manufacture) and was successfully used for the production of MDV ferryboats by Fincantieri.

2002 Line panels and Nomex honeycombIn June 2000 Metalleido Components Srl became part of the Abet Group, a Company known throughout the world for its production of high pressure and compact grade laminates characterized by matchless design, decor and quality.
In 2002 Metalleido Components Srl transferred its operation to a new site at Borgo Fornari where a new line of production was implemented to manufacture compound panels with aluminium honeycomb and Nomex.
2008 Compound Line and cold bonding
In 2008 the production line for Compound was installed for producing sandwich panels
Sandwich panels are produced using various types of foam such as polystyrene and PVC or plywood and other materials with closed pore and bonded with high pressure laminate from the Abet group or coated metal sheets or blanks.
This line is then used to finish the cold bonding.
2010 Sawing machine blocks of aluminium honeycomb
In 2010 Metalleido Components purchased machinery for the cutting of honeycomb (Schelling machine) which Improved production efficiencies.
